This open-loop sculpture extends a polished stainless steel line outward and upward, creating a broad gesture above a compact base. We use the open center to frame sky and landscape, while the mirrored edges change from bright highlights to reflections of the ground as the viewer moves.
An open shape with a wide reach
The loop’s lifted sweep gives the work a different character from a closed circular ring. Its width, angle and central opening determine how it occupies the space. We develop those relationships around the approach to the sculpture, allowing the surrounding view to remain part of the composition. Overall dimensions are sized per project, with the widest reach included in the installation footprint.
Continuity around the loop
We treat the turning surface as a connected reflective line. Controlled forming and welding establish the curve, then progressive sanding and polishing carry the reflection through each change of direction. This work at the seams prevents waves and fragmented, mosaic-like patches from disrupting the loop. We agree the surface on a physical sample and check the inner and outer edges during finish inspection.
Setting the work outdoors
Waterfront grounds, hotel gardens and plazas offer the open sightlines suited to this design. Our outdoor art collection places it among other landscape forms. We coordinate the support, base alignment and anchors with the ground conditions and the direction of the projecting curve. Grade (304 or 316) is selected for the site.
Surface approval is explained in our mirror stainless steel approach; our custom production workflow covers trial assembly and transport planning for the completed shape.
